The FSA 135 is a powerful professional battery-powered brushcutter from STIHL. Part of the AP System and designed for professional users working landscaping and grounds maintenance. Packed with power and capable of taking on the toughest mowing, clearing and scrub cutting jobs with ease. As the tool is battery-powered, it’s especially suited for work in noise sensitive areas such as at hospitals, schools and housing estates.
The FSA 135 is fitted with a bike handle for comfortable working when cutting tall grass and weeds. The bike handle can easily be adjusted to your desired position too, without the need for additional tools. Fitted with a powerful EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle, which can be set at 3 different speed levels depending on the type of work you are doing. Plus, there is an energy saving mode on the handle too for when your battery is low on energy.
The air filter on the housing ensures that the engine is kept cool during work, improving the service life of the brushcutter. It’s easy to remove and clean too. Plus, the FSA 135 is IPX4 rated – meaning it can be used in all weather conditions.
The FSA 135 is supplied with a double shoulder harness and the GrassCut 260-2 blade as standard but can also be fitted with other STIHL cutting tools, such as the AutoCut, TrimCut, DuroCut, PolyCut, BrushCut and WoodCut cutting tools. It also has a mounting point for the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A on the power tool housing.
Working time with grass cutting blade, using recommended AP 300 S battery, is up to 100 minutes.
Don’t forget to check your work area for wildlife before starting to use your tool. In particular, you should check for nesting birds before trimming hedges, as well as checking for other small animals such as hedgehogs before trimming long grass.

EC Motor

Ergonomic control handle with speed adjuster
The speed can be controlled in three stages using the ergonomic control handle, which has a built-in LED display. This ensures energy-efficient work and long running times.
Metal mesh air filter
OPTIMAL ENGINE COOLING. The air filter with fine metal mesh cleans the air and in this way ensures optimum engine cooling. As it is easy to clean, it also offers a long service life.
Bike handle
When used in conjunction with a harness, the bike handle enables a smooth mowing action. The bike handle allows the machine to be easily guided, making it ideal for working on large areas and thus reducing fatigue.
Eyelet for shoulder strap
COMFORTABLE WORK. To make your work easier and improve ergonomics, you can attach a harness to this STIHL power tool. You can use a special suspension eye or hanger strip to do so.
Electronic trigger system with unlock button
FOR SAFE STARTING. By pressing the unlock button, you can enable controlled operation of the power tool. Only after it has been pressed is it possible to operate the trigger button. Activation is indicated by a flashing LED. After that, you must start working within 5 seconds or the power tool will switch off again. This prevents the power tool from starting unintentionally when stationary, for example during transport or maintenance.
Connectivity (Ready)
COMPATIBLE WITH THE SMART CONNECTOR 2A. You can mount a Smart Connector 2 A in the housing of the power tool at the dedicated position. Once installed, this connects to the control unit and transmits valuable power tool data to your smartphone, tablet or the STIHL connected Box that is within range. You can use the STIHL connected App and the STIHL connected Portal to view the STIHL connected gathered data and benefit from additional functions.
Power boost
MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE INCREASE. Thanks to intelligent electronics, STIHL power tools and batteries communicate with each other. If the device and battery are equipped with the POWER BOOST function, the battery always provides the maximum possible power for the respective application. In order to ensure optimum battery life, the device temporarily adjusts the power if it is used too intensively.
Constant power
CONSTANT POWER, REGARDLESS OF BATTERY CHARGE STATUS. With other brands of battery tools, the performance usually decreases during work as the battery discharges. This is not the case with STIHL cordless power tools with CONSTANT POWER. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your STIHL power tool works with consistently high power.
IPX4 Certified
SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages. IPX4 certifies protection against splashwater from all sides. Battery-powered tools with this certification are therefore designed for daily use, even in rainy conditions.
