The STIHL HLA 86 professional cordless hedge trimmer from the STIHL AP system is ideal for the efficient maintenance of tall hedges, shrubs and ground cover. The robust EC motor with infinitely variable speed delivers consistently high performance. The cutter bar can be adjusted by 115° for top, bottom or side cuts without tools. The cutter blade, ground on both sides, allows for an attractive, clean cut. The tool-free adjustable square telescopic shaft impresses with its high level of guide rigidity. The 260 - 330 cm long hedge trimmer has a very long reach and can be folded up to 180 cm for easier transport.

Excellent tool balance

REDUCES WORKING FATIGUE. Thanks to the battery’s optimal centre of gravity, this tool has a low tilting torque which supports fatigue-free working.

Intuitive operation

EASY STARTING. To start the tool, all you need to do is release the lock using the locking switch. The tool can then be started using the trigger. The additional ERGO lever enables continuous work without having to restart. The self-resetting locking switch prevents accidental activation of the tool. Operation is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users.

Tescopic shaft with twist-secured clampimg sleeve

EASY-TO-ADJUST SHAFT LENGTH. The square telescopic shaft is equipped with a twist-secured clamping sleeve. This enables quick and tool-free adjustment of the shaft length (may vary in overall length for different tools). This means that you can quickly and efficiently adapt the tool being used to the respective work situation.

EC motor

LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC motor enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.

Blade scabbard

FOR SAFE TRANSPORT AND PROTECTED STORAGE. Transport and store your hedge trimmer and shrub shears safely and securely with the tailor-made blade scabbard.

Tip protector

PREVENTS DAMAGE. The tip protector prevents damage to the blades. The tip protector also makes it easier to cut close to the ground or along walls.
