    The STIHL FSA 80 is a battery-powered brushcutter designed for tackling the toughest mowing, cutting and clearing jobs in your home garden. The FSA 80 is battery powered and as such has low noise emissions so you don’t have to worry about disturbing any neighbours either!

    Fitted with a bike handle for comfortable working when cutting tall grass and weeds. The folding clamp makes it quick and easy to adjust the bike handle to the ergonomic position that suits you. The FSA 80 has a powerful brushless EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle, which can be set at 2 different speed settings. There is an ECO mode (level 1), for simple tasks such as trimming lawn edges, which results in lower energy consumption for extended battery life. And there is full speed mode (level 2), for mowing thicker grass, which will use more of the battery energy.

    The FSA 80 is supplied with a basic harness and the GrassCut 230-2 blade as standard, but can also be fitted with other STIHL cutting tools such as the AutoCut, TrimCut, DuroCut, PolyCut cutting tools.

    Don’t forget to check your work area for wildlife before starting to use your tool. In particular, you should check for nesting birds before trimming hedges, as well as checking for other small animals such as hedgehogs before trimming long grass.

    STIHL professional tip - to get the most from your mowing line, we recommend popping it in a bucket of water for 12-24 hours before using it to make it more flexible and less likely to break.

    Constant power

    When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn't the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.

    Ergonomic control handle with speed adjuster

    EASY ADJUSTMENT OF POWER TOOL PERFORMANCE. Quickly and conveniently adjust the speed of your power tool to the respective work situation. Doing so reduces energy consumption at low speeds, and in this way extends the battery runtime. The practical control handle with speed control allows you to make the relevant adjustment without having to change your grip or pause work.

    The HLA has a special eyelet for use with a shoulder strap.

    Power levels

    PERFORMANCE SUITABLE FOR THE TASK. You can set 2 different power levels on the handle. Level 1, is Eco mode, which has reduced power to extend the battery life. Level 2 allows you to use the full power of the tool.

    FOR SAFE STORAGE. The tool has an eyelet  allowing you to store your tool safely and compactly.

    Tool-free handle adjustment

    ADJUST THE BIKE HANDLE INDIVIDUALLY. You can individually adjust the ergonomic bike handle using the central clamping device. Thanks to the tool-free handle adjustment, you do not need any tools for this. The bike handle can be rotated 90 degrees for transport and space-saving storage.

    Automatic tool recognition

    WITH OPTIMAL SPEED. During operation the brushcutter recognises which cutting attachment is being used and then automatically adjusts the speed to deliver optimal performance in every application.

    Tool monitoring with the Smart Connector

    INTEGRATION INTO STIHL CONNECTED. The tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your tool is always in a ready-to-use condition.

    LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC motor enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.
