    With a durable metal rear roller with robust drive and well-sealed bearings, there is no compromise between convenience and lawn striping quality. The body design allows for easy access and maintenance of working parts such as drive cables, pulleys and the drive belt. The optimised rear deflector flap works perfectly with the mono-comfort handle, improving access to the grass box and making emptying much easier. STIHL’s best technology comes as standard on these mowers.

    High lift blade for excellent cut and collection, extremely sturdy mono handlebars allow for easy emptying of the grass catcher box, and it’s also easy to adjust to suit different heights, or fold for storage without tools. There’s a simple one drive and blade brake clutch on the RM 655 RS to stop the blade but keep the engine running when emptying the box or moving between mowing areas. The aluminium deck is robust and lightweight and central cutting height adjustment and foldable handle bar make usage and storage much easier.

    Engine with EasyStart system

    EASY AND RELIABLE. Whether a cold or warm start, thanks to the engine with easy-start system, you can start your tool easily, reliably and with minimal effort.
    The Vario self-propulsion enables individual adaptation of the speed of the STIHL lawn mower to personal mowing habits and lawn conditions. The mowing speed can be infinitely varied using the control lever on the handlebar.

    Height-adjustable comfort handlebar

    COMFORTABLE WORKING AND STORAGE. The comfort handlebar is only mounted on one side of the lawn mower, making it easier for you to remove the grass collection box. As the handlebar is height-adjustable, it enables you to mow your lawn comfortably and ergonomically. You can adjust it to your preferred height without using tools. As the handlebar is also foldable, the lawn mower can be compactly stored and transported

    Wheel Drive

    EFFORTLESS LAWN MOWING. The wheel drive makes mowing easier, especially on inclines and larger green areas, so you progress faster and with less effort.

    Blade brake clutch

    The blade brake clutch disengages the blade and engine to protect the crankshaft. This allows the grass catcher box to be emptied without restarting the engine. The mower can also be driven around the garden without the blades working.

    Folding grass collection box

    EASY EMPTYING. Your lawn mower is equipped with a folding grass collection box to make emptying clippings very straightforward. The fill-level indicator signals the right time for emptying. An airstream ensures dense filling while mowing, so you can make optimum use of the full volume of the box. The slats on the side of the box direct the air towards the ground, which protects you from dirt being swirled up.

    Central cut-height adjustment

    FOR OPTIMUM MOWER RESULTS. You can adjust the cutting height on your lawn mower easily and in several levels. A scale shows the current height. Central cut-height adjustment allows you to optimally adapt your mowing to the conditions of the lawn.

    Super-soft handle

    FOR COMFORTABLE LAWN MOWING. The ergonomic super-soft handle means that your arms are protected when mowing the lawn, as any vibrations are absorbed.

    Aluminium housing

    LIGHTWEIGHT AND VERY RESISTANT. The aluminium housing is both lightweight and stable. Its low weight makes your work easier, while the powder-coated surface ensures the housing is also protected against external influences.
