The MSA 200 is a lightweight and powerful battery-powered chainsaw that is designed for small maintenance jobs. It is fitted with a 14” guide bar and has with 20% more cutting performance than the MSA 160. It has been designed for versatile tasks such as pruning branches or cutting firewood on your property. It can also be used for processing wood and felling small trees of up to 25 cm in diameter on the worksite. Thanks to the 36 V lithium-ion battery, it’s perfect for work in noise sensitive areas too!
It is easy and comfortable to use with an ergonomic control handle for greater control and comfort when used across different cutting angles. The trigger system allows for maximum control over the chain speed, and makes working across different materials, around shrubs or on wood working projects even easier. A transparent chain oil tank offers better visibility of oil levels. The quick chain tensioner allows the sprocket cover to be removed and the chain tensioned without the need for additional tools. Plus, the MSA 200 is fitted with a ¼” PM3 saw chain which provides a clean cut and impressive cutting performance.
The MSA 200 is recommend for use with the AP 300 S battery. Working time with the recommended AP 300 S battery is around 50 minutes.

Constant power
When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn't the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Stihl Quick Chain Tensioning
RE-TENSION THE SAW CHAIN TOOL-FREE. Thanks to STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning, you can tension your saw chain quickly and without tools, thanks to the adjusting wheel. Turning the adjusting wheel to the left releases tension on the saw chain, and turning the adjustment wheel to the right tensions the saw chain. The guide bar will be automatically secured when the sprocket cover is tightened.
Transparent oil tank
MAKES FILL-LEVEL MONITORING EASY. With the transparent oil tank, you can easily and quickly check the fill level of the chain oil. This means that you always know when you need to add chain oil for efficient work over long periods.
Soft grip control handling
Thanks to the soft grip on the control handle, the MSA 300 sits comfortably in the hand and can be operated safely. In addition, the user's grip is improved by the soft material, which helps when using the MSA 300 in wet conditions.
Sturdy bumper spikes
FOR PRECISE CUTS. The sturdy metal bumper spikes provide chainsaws with a hold on wood, so that you can guide your cuts safely and precisely.
Two-handed operation

IPX4 certified
SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The AP 200 S is IPX4 certified thanks to the encapsulated electronics and sealing of each individual cell. It means that the battery is protected against splashwater from all sides and can be used in rainy conditions.
